Pink on Parade Becomes the AdventHealth Ribbon Run 5K in Celebration
A familiar Celebration tradition is expanding its mission to honor every cancer journey.
For years, Pink on Parade has brought survivors, families, friends and supporters together in Celebration to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer care. In 2026, this meaningful community event returns with a new name and a broader mission: the AdventHealth Ribbon Run 5K.
The inaugural Ribbon Run 5K will take place on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at AdventHealth Celebration. The opening program begins at 7:00 a.m., followed by the 5K at 7:30 a.m.

Why Did Pink on Parade Become the Ribbon Run?
The change from Pink on Parade to the Ribbon Run does not leave the event’s history behind. Instead, it builds upon it.
Breast cancer awareness and support remain an important part of the event. The expanded Ribbon Run now creates an opportunity to recognize people affected by every type of cancer. Each cancer-awareness ribbon represents a different diagnosis, experience and personal connection.
Participants are encouraged to wear the ribbon color that represents the cancer cause closest to them. Pink will continue to be a meaningful presence, while many additional colors will now come together to honor survivors, remember loved ones and support those currently receiving treatment.
It is a thoughtful expansion of an event that has already meant so much to families throughout Celebration and Central Florida.
More Than a Race
You do not have to be an experienced runner to participate. The Ribbon Run welcomes runners, walkers, survivors, caregivers, families, community teams and first-time 5K participants.
The event is designed to give people a way to make their participation personal. Some may walk in honor of a family member. Others may run in memory of someone they have lost. Survivors may participate to celebrate how far they have come, while caregivers and friends can show their support simply by being there.
Teams are also encouraged, making the Ribbon Run a meaningful activity for families, neighborhoods, businesses and community organizations.
Supporting Cancer Care in Our Community
Funds raised through the Ribbon Run will support cancer patients and families in Central Florida. According to AdventHealth, the money raised will help provide patient assistance, diagnostic testing, wellness programs, cancer research and expanded access to innovative care.
The previous Pink on Parade event made a significant local impact. AdventHealth reported that the sold-out 2025 event raised more than $125,000 for the AdventHealth Breast Cancer Care Fund.
The new Ribbon Run carries that spirit forward while extending its support to people facing many different forms of cancer.
A Celebration Community Tradition Continues
Events like the Ribbon Run reflect one of the things I value most about living and working in Celebration: the way our community comes together when it matters.
The event hosted at AdventHealth Celebration remains closely connected to the community that supported Pink on Parade for so many years. Neighbors, local businesses, health-care professionals, survivors and families will once again gather for a morning centered on hope, remembrance and support.
The name may be different, but the heart of the event remains the same.
Whether you plan to run, walk, form a team, volunteer, donate or cheer from the sidelines, the AdventHealth Ribbon Run offers a meaningful way to stand beside people whose lives have been affected by cancer.
Every ribbon has a story. And on October 4, every step will help carry those stories forward.
